Jaunita C. Moffatt

Jaunita C. Moffatt, 88, passed away May 6, 2023 peacefully at home. Born in Upper Glade, WV to Jack and Goldia Given, she resided in the Akron area since 1959. Jaunita enjoyed shopping, traveling, church activities, playing bingo and cards, working puzzles and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Moffatt; brothers, Tom, Eugene and Charles Given; grandson-in-law, Glen Jay Lang. She will be sadly missed by her children, Timothy (Sherri) Moffatt, Carolyn (David) Thome; grandchildren, Lindsey(Nicholas) Reynolds, Jacob Moffatt, Lauren Shepherd, Julianne Lang, Kaitlyn Moffatt; great grandchildren, Autumn Reynolds, Logan Shepherd, Valerie Lang, Elliana Shepherd; siblings, Harold (Melinda) Given, Agnes (Ray) Kurtz, Dottie (Keith) Gray, Bill (Margaret) Given.

Jaunita's family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Traditions Health Hospice, specifically Rhonda, Kris, Bekah, Melanie & Jeff for their extraordinary care and compassion over the past 14 months.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, May 12, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jaunita's name to Camp Caesar, PO Box 428, Cowen, WV 26206.
