68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday July 26th after a short illness.
Jean has been a member of Ernest Angley's Grace Cathedral since 1988 and moved to Cuyahoga Falls from Seneca Castle, NY shortly after retiring from P & C Foods in 2004. She worked in the Missions Department, helping send Bibles throughout the world, and at the Grace Cathedral Gift Shop showing God's love to everyone she came in contact with.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Alan Penner and her parents Ernest and Charlotte Walgenbach of Canandaigua, NY. She leaves behind two sisters, Roxana (Frank) Amodio and Sandra Palmisano both of Akron, OH and children, Deanna (William) Criss of Cuyahoga Falls, Darcy (Ron) Midcap of Silver Lake, Karen (Robert) Morgan of NC, Chris (Charlene) Penner, Dawn Penner, Kendra (Jay) Bauer, and Kevin Penner all from NY, as well as several grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio TODAY from 5-8pm and the funeral will be at Grace Bible College 1055 Canton Rd on Thursday July 30th at 12:00 p.m. with viewing an hour before. All donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Bibles for Missions c/o Grace Cathedral 2700 State Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
