Jean Antoinette DeLuca, a cherished soul who graced the world with her vibrant spirit, was born on July 29, 1942, in Akron, Ohio. She left this earthly realm on March 7, 2025, in Canton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Jean's personality was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of spirituality, passion, and devotion to her family. She was outgoing and full of life, radiating warmth and joy wherever she went. Known for her loving nature, Jean had an innate ability to light up a room and make those around her feel cherished and valued. Her free spirit drew people in, creating lasting connections and fostering community with friends and family alike.
Throughout her life, Jean found immense joy in being surrounded by her loved ones. Family gatherings were her favorite moments—a time when laughter echoed through homes and hearts united. Jean was a passionate storyteller who loved sharing her life experiences, leaving her listeners inspired and often entertained. Her bond with her family was not only strong but also deeply enriching for all involved.
Jean found solace and peace in the beauty of nature. She loved to be outdoors, especially in the country. It was in these natural settings that she felt most at peace, and she often encouraged those around her to appreciate the simple joys of life.
She is survived by her long-time partner, Bob Croskey, and her four beloved daughters: Shelly (David) Pierce, Denise (Douglas) Miller, Pamela (Frank) Sieneski, and Christine Steinke. Jean's legacy continues through her grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward: Stephanie Pierce, Michael (Anna Pasko) Pierce, Megan (Anthony) Carlin, Kimberly (Vince) DeLorenzo, Kelly (Melisa Baringer) Miller, Frank Sieneski Jr., Beau Steinke, Ben Steinke, and Robert Steinke. Her great-grandchildren—Christopher, Kyla, Austin, Dylan, Olivia, Jayden, Logan, Greyson, Lucas, Noah, and Carson—were treasures in her life, bringing immeasurable joy and laughter to her days. Jean was also a proud great-great grandmother to Madeline and Silas.
In addition to her numerous family ties, Jean is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Muffley, and her nephew and niece, William (Jodi) Muffley Jr. and Jennifer (Jeff) Kyle, along with her uncle, Luciano (Renata) DeLuca Jr., and many cousins and friends who adored her.
Jean faced one of life's greatest challenges with courage and resilience, bravely surviving stage 4 lung cancer, a testament to her strength of spirit and determination.
Jean Antoinette DeLuca's beautiful journey in this world has come to a close, but her love and light will forever remain in the hearts of those she cherished. We celebrate her life, her laughter, and her enduring spirit, knowing that she now rests in the peace she sought amidst the flowers and nature she so dearly loved.
