Jean A. Hudnall

Jean A. Hudnall, age 91, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on March 31, 2023. She was born in Akron on March 13, 1932 to the late August and Anna Kirkbaumer. After high school, Jean had a job at Gray's Drugs. Through a co-worker, she met Billy Hudnall and they were married on September 26, 1953. They raised their family of five children in Akron.
In her free time, Jean was an avid reader. She belonged to several book clubs and often read dozens of books a month. She also enjoyed a women's Bible study at St. Matthew Church. Jean loved gardening and always wanted fresh flowers to brighten up her room. She looked forward to college football each fall and particularly loved Notre Dame and West Virginia.
Survivors include her children, Terrance "Terry" (Sharon), Gerald "Jerry", Kenneth "Ken", Daniel "Dan" (Lori) Hudnall, and Karen (Eddie) Miner; her eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Billy Hudnall; grandson, Daniel Hudnall Jr.; sister, Mary Wiseman, twin sister, Joanne Kirkbaumer, and brother, August Kirkbaumer Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
