Jean Love

Jean Love, 55, of Akron, passed away in her brother Thomas' arms on May 5, 2018. Jean was born on June 18, 1962 at a bouncing six pounds, in Barberton, Ohio. Jean was named after her great-aunt, Jean, who was very special to her and her family. At only six months, Jean was diagnosed with spinal meningitis, which left her with brain damage throughout her life. Even though she was ill, Jean was always a very strong woman, who went on to live a beautiful life with many people who loved and cared about her.

Jean leaves behind to mourn, her mother, Ruth (Ronnie) Jacobs; brothers, David, Thomas, Arthur, Damon, Ronnie Jr., and Louis; sisters, Rennetta, and Vivian; nephew, John; special uncle, Alvin Rush; her chosen sisters, Nancy, Mary, April, and Alice; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Love Sr.; her sister, Crystal; grand-parents, John and Ola Mae, Bernice and C.R. Keys, and Thelma Ferguson; and great-aunt, Jean.

Jean's family would like to send a special thank you to her family at the group home, as well as the caregivers at U.D.S. and Bath Manor.

A memorial service will be held in Jean's honor at Homewood Suites 210 Springside Drive Akron, OH 44333, on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 1pm.
