Jean Williams, 68, peacefully departed this life on January 4, 2023. Born to the late William and Elizabeth Dobbs Sr. on November 19, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, she was a faithful member of Washington Temple Church of God in Christ. She attended Central Commercial High School.
Jean later moved to Akron and became the Executive Assistant of Planned Parenthood. She loved Akron but, as she would say, she was a "Brooklyn-ite"! She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Leon. Jean was known to cut a rug or two in her day and also loved golfing. "Shame" by Evelyn 'Champagne' King was Jean's favorite song but she always had a passion for listening to some good oldies. Jean was a nurturer, sweet, and funny, but most of all, she was passionate about her family.
Jean Williams was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Louise (Bill) Jones. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Leon H. Williams Sr; sons, Clinton E. Thomas Jr., and Leon H. (Eboné) Williams Jr.; grandchildren, Clinton Thomas III, Ta'Shawn Thomas, Brooklyn Thomas, R'Ryona Thomas, Hashim Ali, Sharlika Williams, Jesse Roberson, and Elijah Roberson; siblings, Kim (Phillip) Hill, Lynn Dobbs, William H. (Carolyn) Dobbs Jr, Lester Dobbs; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thanks to Wyant Woods staff for all your compassion and care.
