Jeanne Marie Blankenship

Jeanne Marie Blankenship, 83, of Mogadore, passed away on February 20, 2022. She was born in Akron on December 6, 1938 to the late Betty Mingle and Carl Studer. Jeanne met Robert Blankenship in 1957. Six weeks later, they were married and were happily married for 64 years. Together they raised four children and were blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jeanne devoted herself to her family and will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Iona Benson; and brother, Rodney Studer. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Blankenship; children, Doug (Lynn) Blankenship, Colleen (Mark) Evanoff, Kristine (Randy) Moye, and David Blankenship; sister, Ella (Marv) Collinson; brother, Roger (Pam) Studer; grandchildren, Mark Blankenship, Teri Blankenship, Bobby (Danielle) DeCastro, Jennifer (Michael) DeCastro, Anthony DeCastro, and Jacob (Hannah) Moye; great-grandchildren, Shayla, Chloe, Violet, Dylan, and Betty.
Visitation will be held at Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Dr, Akron, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., immediately followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at the church with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
