Jeannette Eileen Mccambridge

Jeannette Eileen McCambridge, 88, passed away August 29, 2020 at home with her daughter after a brief illness. Born in Akron, Ohio to Charles and Edith (Zinn) Grizer, she was a lifelong area resident. In 1952 she married Hugh McCambridge of Tallmadge and they later had 5 children. Jenny greatly enjoyed her cats, crocheting, watching her hummingbirds at the bird feeder and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and 11 siblings, Jenny was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hugh McCambridge, Sr; sons, Hugh, Jr. "Danny" and David. She will be sadly missed by children, Conni McCambridge (Steve Reis), Tom (Missy) McCambridge, Tim McCambridge; grandchildren, Karen (Juan), Lora (Corey), Tom, Jr., Erik (Angie), Michael (Gina), Tim, Jr.; great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lily, Julian, Angelica; nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve and UH Portage Home Healthcare Team for their loving care of Jenny.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Atwater Cemetery. Please expect to wear masks and practice social distancing.
