Jeffery L. Hochstetler, "Jeff", age 64, of Akron, Ohio, died at his home on May 3, 2022.
He was born in Canton, Ohio, on January 9, 1958, the son of the late Levi and Esther (nee Byler) Hochstetler.
Jeff worked in construction as a stone mason and as an CNC Operator for Logan Machine, retiring in 2021. He loved spending time with his daughters, granddaughters and his extended family. Jeff never ever met a stranger, everyone loved him. He was a huge Ohio sports fan, go Browns and go OSU Buckeyes.
Survivors include his two daughters, Tina Hochstetler of Edwardsburg, MI and Katie Hochstetler of Akron; his step-daughters, Sarah Stilley and Brandy Stilley both of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Whitney Hochstetler and Maddy Cardwell.
His siblings also survive, Cynthia Vongunten, Julie (Owen) Miller, Michael (Colleen) Hochstetler, Timothy (Joan Geesaman) Hochstetler, Jerry (Dawn) Hochstetler, Juanita (Dave) Duff, Stanley Hochstetler and Bonnie Casselberry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends mourn his loss.
Other than his parents, his nephew, Alan Hochstetler; and his brother-in-law, John Vongunten are deceased.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
