Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Hammelman

Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Hammelman, 61, went to Heaven on May 13, 2018 after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma. He was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Green HS. Jeff proudly served in the National Guard and was a proud member of the NRA. He was a very caring individual who always took the opportunity to provide for others less fortunate than himself.

Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hammelman. He is survived by his father, George Hammelman; loving wife, Bev Hammelman; son, Jeffrey (Angela) Hammelman; grandchildren, Ryder and Lana; step-grandchildren, Haley and Ashton; sisters, Tina Hill and Cherie (Kelly) Rawling; brother, Greg (Martha) Hammelman; nephews, Ben and Steve Hill; nieces, Ashley Rawling and Kristy Malicoat; extended family, Lynn (Eugene) Oliver; and faithful companion, Hank.

A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Summit County in Jeff's memory.
