Jeffrey H. Hunt, 71, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on December 28, 2021 surrounded by loving family. Jeff was born in Camden, New Jersey on Oct. 4, 1950 to the late John and Doris Hunt. He graduated from Pennsauken High School in 1969, where he lettered in football and baseball. After high school, Jeff enrolled in the Wildlife Management program at Kent State University, where he met and fell in love with Maureen "Mimi" Donnelly, who he married in 1974.
Jeff was the "ideal" of a family man, loving deeply, unconditionally, selflessly.
A rare combination of strength and tenderness, he nurtured his children and was rewarded with their deepest affection and love. He honored his wife every day showing her a love and respect that only deepened over their 47 years of marriage.
Jeff was their "North Star" shining brightly in times of darkness…guiding them safely through every challenge and obstacle.
Professionally, Jeff exhibited a work ethic and integrity that were recognized and rewarded as he was advanced over his 47 year career from sales to General Manager to Vice President of Spitzer Management, Inc., Director of Used Vehicle Operations. In Spitzer Jeff had found his "perfect match"- believing as he did in long term commitment, personal growth and ethical relationships. He had only just retired in April 2021 from the career he loved.
No matter what struggles he faced with his multiple sclerosis, Jeff met each day with optimism, determination, strength and courage, and considered himself a fortunate man, thankful for his loving family, friends and career. He was truly a role model and patient mentor in both his personal and professional lives.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved son, Ryan Hunt; and parents-in-law, Daniel and Emalee Donnelly.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Mimi Hunt; daughter and son-in-law, Kristen Hunt-Mynes and Bryan Mynes; grandchildren, Caiden and Nina Mynes; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Melanie (Robert) Eisenberg, Colleen Donnelly, Keiren (Doug) Hale, and Brian (Stephanie) Donnelly; many nieces, nephews and friends.
