Jeffrey David Kontak (34) of Akron, Ohio passed away unexpectedly the morning of September 23rd, 2022.
Jeff is survived by wife, Anna Dougall Kontak; father, Robert (Bob) Kontak; mother, Shelly Kontak; and younger sister, April Kontak. He is also survived by grandfather, Robert Kontak Sr.; great uncle & aunt Ben and Linda Doil; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Sue Kontak and maternal grandfather, David Randall.
Jeff was born September 21st, 1988 in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated from Green High School, class of 2007. He then received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Akron in 2011.
Jeff had a knack for making friends anywhere his life took him. He could make anyone laugh, and his sense of humor and quick wit were unparalleled. If you were in Jeff's circle, your life was better for it in some way. He could always make someone feel that they mattered.
From a very young age, Jeff was a video game enthusiast. He found community and comfort in sharing this passion with others, and he could master any game with ease. He had a keen eye for detail and enjoyed solving complex problems of all kinds. Jeff was the life of the party. His default setting was "this is going to be fun"-- and it was infectious. You were guaranteed to have a great time if Jeff was with you. He'd make sure of it.
Jeff was deeply loved. His loss is already felt by many, and the pain of being without him will persist indefinitely. We have found comfort knowing that he is now at peace.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
