Jenneth G. Platt
Jenneth G. Platt, 71, of Springfield Township passed away July 27, 2008 after a long illness. She was born May 6, 1937 in Weston, West Virginia to the late Basil S. Brown & Thelma M. McCoy. Jenneth always put her family first and had a heart of gold. She was a practical joker and was nicknamed "Tazz". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty DeMarco. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur W. Platt; daughter, Jenny L. Smith and Tami (Randy) Petersen; son, Craig S. Platt; grandchildren, Angela, Randy, Shiloh and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Katie and Lori; and brother, Robert L. Brown. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Forsyth officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the Army & Navy Garrison 273 of Lakemore for their support.
