Jennie Delorenzo (Gage)

Jennie DeLorenzo (Gage), 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 1, 2021. A longtime Akron resident, she was born in Stockdale, NY on September 2, 1930. Her family was everything. She enjoyed cooking and providing for them. Jennie enjoyed playing Bingo, especially with her sister, Alice.

Jennie married the love of her life, Frank, on January 14, 1950, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Shawn A. DeLorenzo. Jennie is survived by her children, Frank DeLorenzo Jr., Mary DeLorenzo, Angela (Chuck) Berg and Vincent DeLorenzo Sr.; grandchildren, Neely, Frank III, Jenifer, Craig, Bobby, Anthony C., Vince Jr., Michael, Haleigh, Anthony J., Johnny, Karley, Demi and C.J.; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louie (Karen) Gage and Alice Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7 from 12pm-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will be at 11am on Monday, February 8 with visitation from 10am-11am at the funeral home. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron to follow. Per health department regulations, facial masks are required to be worn and social distancing is to be practiced at the funeral home.
