Jennie L. Sutton
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jennie Lee Sutton, of Lakemore, Ohio, born July 9, 1961, in Akron, Ohio and raised in Stow, announce her passing on January 23, 2021, at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by Brothers Larry Long, Paul Long (Deborah), Nieces Kirsten Quinn (Shaun), Hannah Long, Great-Niece Harley Quinn, Great-Nephew Garen Quinn, Grandchildren Rorri, Mavrick, and Deklan Sutton, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins and her dear lifelong friend, "Sister" Margie Green (Sigman) and her family, and many other friends and coworkers from the City of Stow.
Jennie was predeceased by her loving Husband, Freddie Sutton in 2018, her Son, Sean Sutton, her dear Parents, Paul "Fred" Long and Dolores (Stebbins), and her Uncles, Thomas Stebbins, Leland Long, and Frederick "Rick" Rocco.
Jennie and Freddie enjoyed dining, going to casinos, visiting family and friends, watching sports together, particularly all Ohio sports teams, with their cat, Misty. Jennie had a contagious laugh and smile, and was always surprising friends and family with her thoughtful gifts of generosity.
Jennie graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 1979 and worked for the Tax Department in the City of Stow until retirement in 2010. She and Freddie were able to spend time, almost daily, with her parents until their respective deaths.
In honoring Jennie's wishes, there will be no memorial service, however, a small family celebration of her life will be planned this Spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice, or The Humane Society of Summit County, or to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron.
The family wishes to send appreciation to the Staff at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center for their care and compassion.
