Jennifer A. Zemlansky

Jennifer A. Zemlansky, 50, of Akron, passed away on December 13, 2024, with her beloved Chica by her side. She was born on May 5, 1974 the daughter of Deborah and William Zemlansky. Jennifer graduated from North High School with the class of 1992. For many years she worked for the Akron Postal Services. Jennifer loved spending time in Puerto Rico, with her dad and family. She also loved traveling the states at the word go, as spent as much time as she could the last 5 years traveling across the States. She always brightened a room with her sense of humor and infectious smile. She was a talented cook and baker and was always up for a party enjoying being with family and friends and enjoyed a good debate as well. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Deborah Zemlansky; brother Billy Zemlansky; Uncle Pete Zemlansky; and Aunt Sue Zemlansky.

Jennifer is survived by her loving family, her father Bill Zemlansky; Aunts Mary (Dave) Harkness, Patty (Jim) Alexander; and Pat Zemlansky; Uncles Robert (Judy) Smith and Doug (Marsha) Smith; friends "Aunt and Uncle" Jenny and Arsenio Cardona from Puerto Rico; beloved Chica her four-legged companion; and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at The Grace House for their exceptional care and Grace they showed during her time there. 

Additionally the family would like to thank Summa Cancer Center for the care they gave Jennifer over the last 5 years of treatments. She loved her team and talked fondly of them.  

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 19th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where memorial services will be held at 5:00pm with Pastor Terry Baker officiating.
