Jerry R Chadima, a retired entrepreneur and life-long resident of Summit County, Ohio, died peacefully and unexpectedly early Sunday morning June 21, 2015 at the age of 77 while sitting in his chair reading his bible.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Waleah R Chadima; his children, Becky (Michael) L. Tellalian Jerry R Chadima jr. Lisa A. Chadima, Julie (Bob) A Andrews, Crystal R Chadima, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Mother Mary Chadima, Father Anton Chadima, and Son Ronnie Allen Chadima who passed at age 7.
Jerry was born in Peninsula inside his parent's home on April 5th 1938. At the age 21 he began servicing Motor Cycles in his parent's barn on Akron Peninsula road where he approached BSA Motor Cycles then acquiring a franchise for N.E. Ohio and "Chadima's BSA Sales" was born. 2 years later Jerry's business out grew the barn and moved to State RD. Cuyahoga falls Ohio. 4 years later Jerry acquired a Suzuki motorcycle franchise and became "Chadima's House of Suzuki" quickly becoming a leading national volume Suzuki dealer. After selling his franchise Jerry opened "Chadima's Service Center" and then "Auto Exchange" where he later retired
Jerry married his wife, Waleah R Morris August 30th 1958 and remained a devoted Husband and father for 57 years. Jerry was a dedicated Christian who woke up every morning at 5 a.m. beginning his day studying his Bible. Jerry was a leading professional motorcycle racer ranking national status at number 6 and was also an avid golfer winning several tournaments including the Armenian open. He took pleasure in regularly making time to visit all his children and grandchildren he also was a staunch supporter of the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers and never missed any of his grandchildren's sporting and special events. Jerry was an unreservedly charitable and generous man who will be sorrowfully missed by his family, friends, neighbors and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday June 30th and calling hours will held Monday 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Newcomer funeral Home at 131 N. Canton RD. Akron, Ohio 44305. Evangelist Ronald Laughery will officiate.
