Jerry L. Bender, 70, passed away on December 3, 2007. Jerry was born in Akron on July 24, 1937 to the late William and Audrey (Rogers) Bender. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Goodyear after 35 years of service. Jerry was an avid golfer and loved his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Bender and sister, Wilda Mueller. Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Bonnie ; sons, Randy L. and John L. (Judy) Bender and David (Sue Ellen) and Mark (Carry) Lare; brothers, William (Janet), Ronnie (Millie) and Jim (Loretta) Bender; and 14 grandchildren. The family will receive friends for an informal memorial gathering on January 5, 2008 from 2 - 6 p.m. at the West's Mogadore Country Club, 197 N Cleveland Ave., Mogadore OH 44260. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jerry may be made through the NEOUCOM Foundation, Jerry Bender Blue Fund, PO Box 95, Rootstown OH 44272.
