Jerry Lee Roepke

Jerry Lee Roepke, 87, of Mogadore, passed away surrounded by family on June 27, 2023. He was born in Akron on December 20, 1935 to the late Howard and Maxine {Porter} Roepke.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three of his siblings.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter Carrie (Bill) Willis; son Scott (Megan) Miller; brothers Don (Nancy) Roepke and Ron Roepke; sister Rosie Movesian; many extended family members.
Jerry worked as an engineer in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years. On November 12, 1999, he married Kathryn {Renwick} Roepke. They were longtime members of Mogadore United Methodist Church. Jerry made many trips to Canada and Lake Erie with family and friends, and could often be found with a fishing pole in his hand. He was a die-hard Cleveland baseball fan, and enjoyed taking his dog Doxie on walks around Mogadore Reservoir. Jerry was known for his pranks and jokes, and had a talent for bringing a smile to his loved ones' faces.
Well-deserved military honors, followed by a brief committal service, will be held at the chapel at Greenwood Cemetery, 3089 Mogadore Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260 on Friday, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. To share a memory of Jerry or leave a special message for his family, please visit the guestbook below.
