Jerry Michael Woods, age 65 of Akron, Ohio, died at his home on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 11:30 PM.
He was born on September 7, 1951 in Akron, the son of the late Dennis and Dorothy Self Woods.
Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Garfield High School and was a bus driver for Metro. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and wood working.
Survivors include his two sons, Brandon (Janette) Woods and Joshua (Brandy) Woods; his grandchildren, Cassidy and Ian Tutorino, Delanie, Wyatt, Adisyn, Ava, and Brody Woods; his siblings also survive, Raymond Woods, Hazel Custer, Pamela Vaughn, Patty Mothersbaugh, Brenda Triola, Alta Rogers, Everett Woods, Nancy Beachy, and Rose Ukrainic; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby Smith, his brothers, Robert "Willie" Woods, and Franklin Woods.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 4:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Following all services cremation will take place.
