Jesse L. Belton, Sr
Jesse L. Belton, Sr 84, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away February 18, 2006 after a short illness. Jesse was born in Barberton, OH to the late Oscar and Beatrice Belton. Most of his life Jesse lived in Canton later moving to Cuyahoga Falls. Jesse was a member of Eastwood Church of The Brethren.
Jesse is survived by his wife Maxine, sister Mildred Huckriede (Fredrick), son Don Belton (Sarah) of New Breman, Jess Jr "Bud" Belton (Gail) of Doylestown, daughter Patty Belton of Wadsworth, grandchildren Jeff Belton and Jason Belton of Doyleston, John Belton (Melissa) of New Breman, Sandy Meckstroth (Tim) of St Marys. He is also survived by Step-children Trish Amburgey (Robert) of Hudson, Gary Bailey (Gwen) of Pennsylvania, and Janice Bailey of Munroe Falls, seven step-grandchildren including his special buddy Madison Bailey, and five great grandsons, many nieces and nephews.
Jesse was owner of Belton Paint and Body Shop for 40 years. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved stock car racing and owned a stock racing car.
Family and Friends may call Monday February 20 from 4 - 7 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N Canton Rd. Funeral Services will be Tuesday February 21 11:00 A.M. at the Eastwood Church of The Brethren, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
