Jesse H. Taylor

Jesse H. Taylor, 90, of Tallmadge, passed away on December 21, 2016. He was born in Lowell, Ohio on July 11, 1926.
Jesse was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved working on his cars and doing Word Searches. Jesse served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946 on the USS Wasp. He was a member of the F.&A.M. Lodge 0517, was a life member of American Legion Post 0234, and a longtime member of South Arlington United Methodist Church. He retired from B&O Railroad after 34 1/2 years of service.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth; sons, David (Donna) and John (Joann); five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his two loyal companions, Peggy and Samantha.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron from 1-2 followed by a 2:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Ron Shultz and Pastor Dan Bryant officiating and military honors provided by Mogadore VFW Post 8487. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Arlington United Methodist Church, 790 S. Arlington St., Akron, OH 44306.
