Jessica Leigh Kovacs Smith

Jessica Leigh (nee Kovacs) Smith, "Spambi", age 35, of North Canton, Ohio, died at the Hospice Care Center in Copley on September 11, 2020.

She was born in Akron on September 4, 1985, the daughter of Michael J. (Lynne) Kovacs of North Canton and Delinda (nee Gowin) (fiance, Rob Harris) Kovacs of New Franklin.

Spambi was a 2004 graduate of Ellet High School and worked in various fast food establishments as a server. She was a huge Steelers fan and Ohio State Buckeye fan. She played all kinds of sports, softball, basketball, cross country and volleyball. Jessie also liked to camp and boat with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jessica is survived by her daughter, Taylor Leigh Smith; her brother, Matthew Kovacs; her paternal grandmother, Helen (nee Clapsadle) Kovacs; her step-grandmother, Esther Kovacs; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that mourn her loss.

Those that preceded her in death were her paternal grandfather, Daniel Kovacs; her maternal grandparents, Everett and Mona (nee Varner) Gowin.

Memorial services will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one's choice in Jessica's memory.
