Jewell C. Thomas
Jewell C. Thomas, 85, of Akron, was restored to perfect health and joined her Savior and loved ones in Heaven on September 26, 2005. Jewell was born April 18, 1920 in Phil Campbell, AL to the late John and Donie Churchill. She was a good Christian woman and had a strong influence on her family. She was generous with her time and prayers for her loved ones. In her free time, Jewell enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollo; son, Ronald; and grandson, Ronald, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Bill) Westfall of Tulsa, OK, Susan (Pat) Mullen of Akron, and Cindy Evans (Joe) of Akron; daughter-in-law, Wanda Thomas; sister, Florence (Fred) Morehead; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Hadinger officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
