Jexsavith A. Cerriteno Torres

Jexsavith A. Cerriteno Torres was born on July 29, 2004. Jex unexpectedly received his wings on June 9, 2024.

He leaves to cherish his memory, loving and devoted mother, Sanysalva Torres Cruz; his brother, Yassir Cerriteno Torres; grandparents; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves a very close friend, Anthony, and many other friends from all his adventures in life.

Jexsavith was a resident of Akron, Ohio all of his life. Most recently, Jex joined the United States Marine Corps in 2023. He was very dedicated and proud to serve his country. Jex graduated from Firestone High School in 2022 where he enjoyed being in robotics & playing several instruments in the Firestone Band. He also learned martial arts, loved to work out & lift weights at the gym with his friends. We can’t leave out gaming on the computer as well. Jex liked to spend time with family, most recently he went on a weekend vacation to Virginia. He set a very good example for his brother to look up to and learn about life. Jex was one of the good guys, any mother would be proud to call “my son.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024. Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 11:00am - 1:00pm with the funeral immediately following at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 North Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305). Military honors will take place prior to the start of his funeral service.

Love you to the moon and back and infinity of times. You left us too soon but your wings were waiting for you even though we weren’t ready to let you go. Until we see you again, love you so much.
