Jim Castilow
Jim Castilow passed away March 21, 2012 surrounded by his loving family on his 65th birthday.
He was a skilled tradesman, and co-owner of Gillespie-Mahlon Upholstery & Company in Akron for several years. Jim retired from Carroll's Furniture and Upholstery in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, family, and spending time with friends at Shirley's "The Office".
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Mahlon Castilow; mother, Hilda Castilow-Strahler; sister, Mary Horning; and brother, John Castilow. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra; children, Angela (Perry) Keeling, Jeremiah (Gina) Gaspar, and Jamie Castilow; grandchildren, Devan Keeling, Dylan Davis, Dakota Stott, Logan Gaspar, and Kayla Gaspar; sisters, Marilyn (Frank) Snyder, and Kathy Ickes; brother-in-law, Richard Gaspar; uncle, Leo (Pat) Weakland; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
The family would like to thank Summa's Palliative Care Unit & Hospice for their loving care of Jim during his illness.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services per Jim's wishes.
