Jim "Jimmy" Lack, 59, passed away on March 24, 2012. Jim had been employed at Lowes in North Canton for 16 years. He loved the beach, music, and classic cars. Jim enjoyed his daily doses of pie and ice cream. He also loved home improvement projects and countless naps with Mook. Jim loved spending time with the family labs, Cameron and Bella. There are mysteries in life that defy understanding; Jim's experience is one. He faced his grim diagnosis with a strength that he found both from the support of his family, friends, co-workers at Lowes, and his other best friend, Jesus Christ. Survivors include his one true thing, his wife, Jan; daughters, Tiffiany and Melissa; sons, Nick and Kristopher; his mother, Edith; grandchildren, Colton, Janessa, Chelsea; dear friends, Donald "Duck" Manes and Michael Keys. Jim wanted a special thank you to the entire Palliative Care Floor at Akron City Hospital, with a special and personal thank you to Dr. Melissa Soltis "Blondie", and Dr. Erin Remster and to all his nurses, but especially Cathy "Wild Thing", Laurie "Sweety", Jamie "Skinny" and Carla his cigar buddy. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 pm.
