Joan (Knecht) Golden

Joan Golden , age 82, of Mogadore, OH passed away Monday, September 9th, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15th, 1931 to George and Olive (Spiker) Knecht in Akron, Ohio. Joan was a proud mother and grandmother cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, attending garage sales and visiting with family and friends with a good cup of coffee and a good cigarette.

In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jim Wiant. She is survived by her loving Husband of 62 years, Raymond "Ray" Golden: children, Dirk (Paula) Golden, Babette (Cindy) Golden and Laura Wiant; grandchildren, Paul Golden, Jack Golden, Jamie (Delmar) Hardin, and Carly Wiant, and great granddaughter, Estella Wiant.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. (330-784-3334). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
