Joan M. Myers, 79, of Atwater, passed away February 17, 2014. She was born in Suffield, OH on June 5, 1934 to the late Emmet and Gertrude Horning.
Joan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved singing in the choir and loved spending time with her family. Joan was a member of the Widow and Widowers Group of Cuyahoga Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Beck and David Myers; sons, Theodore, Timothy and Randy. Joan is survived by her daughters, Donna Chavis, Elaine (Michael) Johnson, Linda (Craig) McArdle, Vicki (Ron) Bennett, Tonya (Matt) Niedermaier, Nikki Myers, Tia (Angelo) Myers-Mango; sons, Ronald (Kelly), Jason and Troy; sister, Theresa Vigh; 39 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-children, and 75 foster children; special friend, Donald Hatherill.
Family and friends may call on Thursday February 20 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Suffield, OH. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Randolph, OH on Friday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Thomas S. Acker, S.J. presiding. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
