Joan Palm,84, passed away peacefully October 10, 2006 after a long illness with Alzheimers.Joan was born September 10, 1922 in Willow Bank, Cookham Dean, England and came to the United States as a war bride on the Queen Mary. She is preceded in death by her parents Violet and Jesse Garrett; brothers Peter and Edward Garrett. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Walter Palm; daughters Lynda Angerstien (Tom), and Susan Maloney (Bill); grandchildren Tom and Steve Angerstien, and Katie Maloney; three great grandchildren; and a brother Desmond of Cookham Dean, England. Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremains will take place at Cookham Parish Church, England, at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held ___________ at__________ at St Pauls Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market St., Akron. For those who wish, donations may be made to Hospice of the VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333 or to the Alzheimers Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 301, Akron, OH 44313 in Joans name.
