Eva Joann (Speck) Cypryla
Eva Joann (Speck) Cypryla, 64, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2005. Born in West Virginia, she was a resident of Stow for 23 years and of Hartville for 8 years until she finally settled in Portage Lakes. She worked at Morgans Truck Stop in Akron for almost 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband John Cypryla. She was a loving mother to Mark (Judy) Speck, Bill Speck, Rick (Jennifer) Speck, and 4 stepchildren; and the proud grandmother of Garrett, Riley, Abby Jo, and 13 other grandchildren. She is also survived by her father Eugene Howard Cottrill, Sr., her mother Pauline Collins, her loving sister and best friend Donna (David) Knittle, brother Eugene Howard Cottrill, Jr. (Shirley), step-sister Sally (John) Woodrow, her dearest friend and caretaker, Verdie, and many other friends and relatives. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Cremation will follow.
