Joann L. Hoffman went home August 14, 2010 after a brave fight with a long illness. Joann was a Sweet Adaline of the Mogadore Village Bells. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe and sister, Jinny Johnston. Joann will be forever in the hearts of her children, Mike,Steve (Leslie), Glen (Joellen), Cheryl, and devoted daughter, Christy (Michael); twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and life long friends, Dorothy Long (Jiggs), and Elaine Holmes. The family thanks all Joann's friends for their thoughts and prayers. Special thanks to Hospice of VNS on Ridgewood and Drs. Marquinez and Makkar. A graveside service for Joann will be held Thursday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at 80 N. Portage Path (Tower 80). Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
