Joann Grace Long

JoAnn G. Long, 88, of Suffield Township, passed away on October 16, 2023. She was born on November 20, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania to the late William and Grace Fox.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Long; son, Jerry Long; and daughter-in-law Mary Long.
JoAnn dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and was the matriarch of her family. She was a good friend to everyone she met and will be truly missed.
JoAnn is survived by her brothers, Bill Fox, Phillip Fox; sister, Sylvia Hahn; children Rick, Terry, Randy, John (Martha) and Jim (Sherri) Long; grandchildren Lisa (Keith) Campbell, Jayme Hellstrom, Christin Long, Dawn Ayers, Bob Ayers, Laura Beth (Dan) Rowe, Dan Long and Curtis (Angie) Long; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
JoAnn was a member of Suffield United Church of Christ.
All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 3:00 p.m. JoAnn will be privately laid to rest at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, PA at a later date.
