Joanne Marie Gostlin

Joanne Marie Gostlin, 67, of Tallmadge, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed unexpectedly on April 29th. Joanne was born July 5, 1956, in Akron, Ohio to Thelma and Robert Demboski. She attended Field High School where she met the love of her life, Dan Gostlin, who she married on November 11, 1972, in Mogadore, Ohio. A loving mother to four boys, Joanne was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially over the holidays. There were always extra seats at her table for unexpected guests.

She is survived by her loving boys, Matthew Gostlin, Donald Gostlin (Denise Cleavenger), Dan Gostlin, and Justyn Gostlin (Katie Mokler); grandchildren, Logan, Chloee, Abigail, Donald, Owen, and Gavin Gostlin; sisters, Debbie (Greg) Friedl, Nancy (Bill) Marino; brother, Bob (Izzy) Demboski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Thelma Demboski and husband Dan Gostlin.

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday May 17, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. in Uniontown.
