Joanne F. Schmidt

Joanne F. Schmidt, 88, passed away on February 11, 2022. She was born September 29, 1933 the daughter of the late Noel and Flossy Strayer. She was a woman of faith. Joanne enjoyed Ballroom Dancing into her 80's even after she had both knees and shoulder replaced. She was very artistic when working on her sewing, cross stitch and knitting. Joanne loved to be outside riding on her husbands motorcycle, gardening and working on her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger A. Schmidt; beloved sons William Searls, Charles Searls and Bryan Searls; 7 brothers; and one sister.
Joanne is survived by her loving family her daughter Kathleen J. Searls; grandchildren Nathan, Justin, Rachael and Adam; great-grandchildren Alyson, C. J., Madyson, Parker and Ruby; brother Dennis Strayer; sisters Sandy Hammer, Bonnie Marshall and Jeri Bentley; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Inurnment will be held at Holy Cross.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
