Joe M. Jeffress, 85, of Ravenna, gained his wings on February 16, 2014. He was born on July 7, 1928 in Greenway, Arkansas to the late Boyce and Bezzie Jeffress. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, having served from 1950-1953. Upon returning home, he married his beloved wife Donna and worked as a police officer in Warren, Michigan for eleven years. He retired from General Motors Security in 1985. Joe loved spending his free time working on cars and he also loved his doxie, Heidi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna. He will be deeply missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Luciano Iatonna; grandchildren, Angelica Iatonna and Joseph (Melissa) Iatonna; and great-granddaughter, Julia Rose Iatonna.
Per Joe's wishes, no services will be held. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
