Joe Ben Stapleton, 71, of Akron, passed away on Oct. 6, 2005. He was born on Aug. 23, 1934 in Paduca, KY, but spent most of his life in Akron. Joe was a dedicated employee for 51 years at Aircraft Braking Systems, and was a faithful attendee of Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene. He was a kind and generous man who loved his family. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, William and Flora Stapleton, 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joyce (McMann) Stapleton, daughters Traci (Al) Kimble of GA, and Jodi (Rob) Goff of Akron, brother Mack Stapleton of Randolph, and grandchildren Challace and Joseph Finney and Joshua Kimble, and numerous neices and nephews. Joe also leaves behind his dogs Katie, Dancer, and Angel. Calling hours will be on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 from 4-8 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Steve Wellman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
