Joey E. Jett, Sr.
Joey E. Jett, Sr., of Freeport, passed away February 24, 2008. Joey was born June 9, 1937 in Clio, West Virginia to the late Opie and Vada Jett. He served as the Worship Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge #415. In his free time, Joey was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his tractor. Joey will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Janice; children, Judy (Roger) Porter, Jeania (Kevin) Uplinger, and Joey E. (Cindy) Jett, Jr.; brothers, Jack (Betty) Jett and Ted (Connie) Jett; grandchildren, Roger (Kristy) Porter, Joey E. Jett III, Matthew Uplinger and Kameron Uplinger; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Joey IV. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. A Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
