Joffre Thomas Somerville, Jr., age 69 of Richfield, Ohio, died on August 17, 2018 peacefully at his home with his best girl.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 7, 1949, the son of Zelda (nee Mansell) Somerville of Cleveland, and the late Joffre T. Somerville, Sr.
Joffre was a 1967 graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland. He was the owner of Somerville's Antiques in Richfield.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife, the former Susan Serrani, whom he married on June 13, 1970; his daughters, Jennifer, Melissa (Brian), and Colleen (Nicholas); his six grandchildren, Brock, Augustus, Lillian, Xander, Kennedy, and Josiah; his siblings, Nellie (Jim) Elwell, Suzie (John) Harry, Sean Somerville, and Jackie (David) Brooks.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were like family. Joffre never ever knew a stranger.
Other than his father, Joffre was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia "Sis" Somerville, Richard "Dicky" Somerville, and Eileen Gedeon.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at St. Victor Catholic Church, 3435 Everett Road, Richfield, Ohio 44286 on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Victor Catholic Church at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018, immediately followed by a celebration of life dinner held in the church hall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
