Johanna M. "Jo" Martin (nee Smith), 89, of Cuyahoga Falls OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. She was born to parents Arthur and Alma Smith on December 9, 1929 in Cuyahoga Falls.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband Otto Thomas Martin of 34 years, and sister Juanita Ritterbeck.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jennifer (Richard) Salzer, Richard Martin, Jeffrey Martin, and Suzanne Martin; grandchildren Rachel (Byron) Johnson, Sarah Beyer, Matthew Martin, Michael Martin, Breanna (Brian) Presley; 3 great-granddaughters, Devan, Reghan, and Harley; special niece Gloria Adamov and family; special nephews Robert Ritterbeck and family, and Thomas Ritterbeck who passed away, and his family. She also leaves behind her dog, Rudy.
Jo loved to crochet. She also enjoyed baking, plaster craft, and traveled whenever she could. One of her favorite spots was Yellowstone, but she had visited most of the 50 states and went on a few different cruises. Her last trip was to the ABC islands last October with her family. Family was always first with her, as she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087
