John Edward Benek went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 17, 2018. John was born Sept. 5, 1953. He was a 1971 Graduate of Wadsworth High School and Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the City of Wadsworth, Super 8 Motel, Storage Buildings Unlimited and Summit Racing Equipment.
John is preceded in death by father John C. Benek.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Lynne Benek, of Akron, mother Phyllis Benek, of Wasdsorth, children Jessica Heppert, Leslie (Dave) Youmans, Margaret (Jason) Boggs, all of Wadsworth, Carolynne (Tim) Mansfield of Cuyahoga Falls, and John (Samantha) Cain of New Franklin, ex-wife Bonnie Benek, of Rittman, siblings Thom (Vicki), Ron (Mary), Patti (Dennis) and Conni, and 10 grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
