John Craig Brake

John Craig Brake, age 76 of Stow, Ohio, died on February 23, 2023.
He was born on October 16, 1946 in Akron, the son of the late John and Margaret (nee Lee) Brake.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Loretta Ramsey, whom he married on June 25, 1994; his brother, Douglas (Heather) Brake; his step-daughter, Wendy (Paul) Sawyer; his step-grandchildren, Jenna and Emerson Sawyer; his nephews, Shawn (Melissa) Brake and Terry Brown; and his great-niece, Emma Brake.
Also surviving is his four legged pet, his golden retriever, Dieken Malone
Other than his parents, Craig was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Cunningham, Jackie, William and Jamie Brake.
Craig was a 1965 graduate of North High School and was an honorably discharged US Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era.
He loved the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians, he was their biggest fan. Craig liked to work around the house and doing yard work.
There will not be any services and cremation will take place. His cremated remains will be placed in Oakwood Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors, in John Craig Brake's memory.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
