John D. Cole

John "Don" Cole, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at UPMC Pittsburgh, PA, October 21, 2011. Born May 26, 1934 to Andrew and Katherine Cole, Akron, Ohio. Don lived in Springfield Twp. and Tallmadge before settling in Woodsfield, OH. He retired from Goodyear Tire after 40 years of service. Don enjoyed watching sports, TV, mowing 5 acres, chocolate desserts, coin collecting and spending time with "Miss Sally".
He is survived by his wife of 57 years and apple of his eye, Katherine (Gulosh); son, Mike (Mary Anne); daughter, Diane (Ken) Barton; and adored granddaughters, Anna and Ashley Cole. We'll miss you and will meet again someday, "Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise". A gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, October 25 from 5-7 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with a celebration moment following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Parkinson Foundation.
