John P. Dempsey, 62, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2023. Born in Warren, Ohio to Pac and Pat (McGill) Dempsey, he resided in Portage/Summit Counties all of his adult life. JD worked at Land-O-Lakes for the past 15 years. He enjoyed music, playing the drums, cooking, watching the Cleveland sports teams and spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.
Preceded in death by his father, Paschal, he will be sadly missed by his children, Tabetha Dempsey, India Dempsey, Maggie Dempsey, Joshua Dempsey; grandchildren, Serenity, Ariana, Sydney, Christopher, Haley, Cash, Braydee, Ella, Charles; great grandchildren, Amelah, Ahlyus, Cienna; mother, Patricia Clark; siblings, Kathy, Dave, Mike, Joe; several nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of JD's life at a later date.
