John M. "Ian" Denholm, age 92, of Hudson passed away on June 26, 2024. He was born in Falkirk, Scotland on March 1, 1932. He graduated from Secondary Technical School and went for pattern making, tool & dye, and model maker. Ian served in the Royal Airforce from 1951-1953 stationed in South Africa. Before coming to the U.S., Ian played ice hockey for the Falkirk Cubs. He married Gladys Evelyn Cook on March 3, 1956, in Scotland and came to the U.S. on the Queen Mary. Ian retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a peewee ice hockey coach, and a life-long golfer. Ian and Evelyn loved sailing. They belonged to the Berlin Yacht Club and sailed all over the east coast and even some of the west coast of the U.S. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home through the U.S. and spending winters in Florida.
Ian is survived by his wife Evelyn; children Glenn (Lisa) Denholm, and Kirk (Kathy) Denholm.
