John G. Dovala, 61, of Tallmadge, died unexpectedly on December 30, 2017. John was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 26, 1956 to the late Pauline and George Dovala. He moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1962, and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1974. He resided in Cuyahoga Falls until he married the love of his life, Debra L. on September 11, 1993. John was the parts manager at Cavalier Olds until 1993. He then worked at Leppo's for 18 years as a parts service representative. John was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Police Reserve. John loved to entertain and cook for friends and family, was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time on his bowling league. John lived life to the fullest and made an impact on all who were lucky to know him.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dovala and nephew, Michael Dovala Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Debra; sisters-in-law, Leone (Dave) Gindlesperger, Angie Bowman, Barbie (Randy) Allshouse, Gina (Dan Clark) Monte; niece, Sarah (Jhon) Lifonzo; nephews, David (Mary) Gindlesperger, Kevin Bowman, Danny (Natalie Spencer) Bowman, and Randle Allshouse.
Friends and family are welcome to visit on Friday January 5, 2018 from 6pm-8pm, and Saturday January 6 from 11-11:30. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:30am with Rev. Cindy Peel to officiate at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
