John E. Smith, 61, passed away on October 21, 2011. The son of Eugene Freed and Clara Smith was born on July 31, 1950 in Grantsville, WV. He is survived by his longtime partner and fiancé, Joy Morgan; sons, John, Joseph and James; step-sons, Terry and Randy Cramer; many grandchildren; brothers, Dale and Dean Smith, Roger Davis; sisters, Estella Watson and Karen Martindale; Robert Morgan his second father.
Calling hours will be on Monday, October 24 from 5-7 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with a memorial service following at 7 PM with Rev. John Bloch officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Fairlawn.
