John Fegal

John Fegal, 85, passed away on October 31, 2005. John was a veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army. He retired from Teledyne-Monarch Rubber Co. after 43 years of service and was an avid golfer. John was a lifetime member of Mogadore VFW Post #8487 and Akron D.A.V. He was also a member of Eagles Club No. 555, Mogadore Moose Lodge, Greentown American Legion, and the Akron Allenside Athletic Club. Most of all, John was a loving husband and father. Preceded in death by his brother Mike Fegal; sisters Ann Mettle and Mary (Steve) Demecs. Survivors include loving wife of 59 years, Donna; daughter Cynthia (Ron) Ferdinand; sisters Stella (Ed) Swietzer, Pauline (Paul) Kawczyk, Julia (Jim) Shemwell, and Sophie Imhoff; sisters-in-law Naomi (Don) Spinks and Helen Fegal; brother-in-law Dan (Marlene) Toris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Friday, 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Military Honors will be provided by Mogadore VFW Post #8487. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Moose Heart Fund through the Moose Lodge.
