CUYAHOGA FAlls - John G. Verespej, Sr., 61, passed away July 16 after losing his battle with lung cancer. John was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He was a lifetime member of the VFW #1062 and also a member of the AL #281. Preceded in death by parents, Bart and Marge Verespej; and sister, Betty. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marcia; sons, John Jr. (Dee) and Jason (Tee); daughter, Jenny (Ricky) Grochowski all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Patrick, J.J. and Dylan; father-in-law, Cal Leasure, Sr.; brother-in-law, Cal Jr.; sister-in-law, Sharon Stauffer; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Mike (Tammy) Dolman, Paul Hamric, Tom Eberly, Charlie Campisi and his loyal companion, Sammy. There will be no calling hours or memorial service. Cremation has already taken place. Donations for the family may be made at any Charter One Bank, account # 4514690081.
