John William Garvin, Jr.

John William Garvin, Jr. passed away on August 28, 2023 at the age of 72. He was born to John and Elaine Garvin on October 10, 1950 in Ohio. He worked most of his life as a concrete finisher. John loved to fish and participate in fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed playing pool and was known as "CJ" to his friends at the pool hall.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Rita "Cookie" Garvin; and siblings, Michael and Wendy.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Jan (Chris) Garvin; siblings, Bryan (Pat) Garvin, Omar (Mary) Tatman and Sidney (Michael) Koepp; grandchildren, Ryan (Tori) Opliger and Caitlin (James) Shafer; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Lylah, Theodore, Presley and Rylan; step-great-grandchildren, Blake and Bryce.
Per John's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no formal services at this time.
